Established in
1999, Vulgar Press is dedicated to the publication
of working-class and other radical forms of writing. We publish
novels, non-fiction, history and poetry and are not limited
by genre.
See the vulgar
books link for information on our list.
We are publishing
a good proportion of books for the secondary school/teen market
and we specialise in radical and local histories. Our flagship
book is Radical Melbourne
but we have also been commended for Maroon
and Blue and Radio
City, our histories of Fitzroy Football Club
and RRR.
Sandy Jeffs' Flying With Paper Wings was published to universal praise.
Our latest publication is Enza Gandolfo and Marty Grace's Love and Care: The Glory Box Tradition of Coptic Women in Australia.
See forthcoming
books for more information.
